Snow Much For Spring

Ok, so much for Spring!! Yesterday morning we woke up to 8" of snow- & Madison was disgusted. He said, & I quote, "This snow messed up my WHOLE day!!". As though he had something really big planned, & the snow really threw him a curve!! Well he & Jonathon Coleman were planning to continue their recent project- "Operation Fix the Holes in the Driveway". The job is quite muddy, but has provided hrs. of entertainment. Guess operations will resume when the snow disappears!!! I gotta say, Madison's reaction to the snow did provide some food for thought for me though- am I willing to have my day rearranged sometimes, or do I have "my" plans made to the point that if God changes my day I get all bent out of shape about it. It's a great reminder that God sees the whole picture & I don't, so things that seem inconvenient sometimes might just be God at work.
And speakin' of projects- "Operation Fix Up the Barn" is going smoothly thus far. Dutch's brother Lee cruised up here last night to help Dutch frame for a couple days. I'm always amazed at what a couple of guys, who know what they're doing, can accomplish in several days. I tell them, "I'm glad you guys know what you're doing, cuz I certainly wouldn't have a clue." I can't even cut straight with a scissors, let alone build a room that's square! Ha. I'll stick with cooking & cleaning, and leave the remodeling projects to the guys.

  1. thanks, for the reminder, no matter what we have plan to do, it can always get a changed. I know that God has a great purpose for us each day! It's so great to hear from you and I love reading your blogs. God Bless You all, Sadie

  2. So true! I got the same response from Matthew. Now, we didn't get no 8 inches but a few flurries. When Matthew seen it snowing, he said in discuss, "Snow? It's not January!" I said, " I know. What do you think God is doing? It's spring time not snow time!" God knows best and hopefully after this weekend we won't see those tiny, white flurries for a loooong time! I was teasing Reuben's crew yesterday when they were here trimming outside plants. I said, "Wow. You even come do spring work on days in snows!" Well, have fun shoveling and have a great day!!! Ha!
